PlayStation 4 Vs. Xbox One: This Holiday Winner In Sales

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have been competing against one another for a really long time. The competition has always been a pretty tough one with no precise winner revealed.

But it seems that during the 2019 Christmas week, things are about to change, according to the latest reports.

It’s been revealed that, according to the latest sales report for the holidays, PlayStation 4 is definitely the winner in terms of sales.

VGChartz UK-based intelligence and research website just released a brand new report that unveils PlayStation 4 sold 145,522 more units than Xbox One. The number might not be quite mind-blowing, but it’s definitely an impressive figure nonetheless.

PlayStation 4 vs. Xbox One

If we were to compared the two consoles in terms of specs and performance, it might be safe to say that these two are equal. But, PS4 has more fans compared to the Xbox One.

It’s been revealed that the sales report revealed that Sony had sold a total of 31,411,653 PlayStation 4 units in 2019 while Microsoft sold 26,845,074 Xbox One units.

“In November 2019, the gap in the US between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One grew in favor of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 sold 154,522 more units than the Xbox One in the last month. The PlayStation 4 has also sold 701,767 more units in the last 12 months. The PlayStation 4 currently leads by 4.57 million units,” according to VGChartz.

It’s interesting to note the fact that the two consoles are competing on an equal area of performance and specs, so what makes the difference? How come the PS4 managed to achieve better numbers compared to the other console?

It seems that the answer behind the success of the PS4 is in the exclusive games for the console. On the other hand, it is also important to note that Microsoft is well aware of the huge success that Sony has, and the tech giant keeps buying game studios.
