US Army Orders 120,000 AR Headsets from Microsoft
The US Army has awarded Microsoft with a contract worth up to $21.88 billion for the manufacture and supply of 120,000 augmented reality headsets over the next 10 years. This is a follow-on deal to a previous contract between both parties. In 2018, the US Army awarded a two-year contract to Microsoft to provide augmented reality technology with the option to order more than 100,000 headsets in a subsequent agreement.
