OnePlus 8T vs. iPhone 12

In terms of the hardware, both models are missing a headphone jack, as well as the option to expand the storage. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about the iPhone 12 RAM at the moment. Both smartphones come with 5G connectivity. Another difference between the two models is that the OnePlus 8T doesn’t feature wireless charging.

We don’t know how well the iPhone 12 camera works; however, the OnePlus 8T results are not that great. Therefore, we expect Apple to process the images better than OnePlus. In terms of the software, the OnePlus 8T runs on Android 11, the latest Google OS. Here are the main features:

  • OnePlus Sans font,
  • a new Always On Display
  •  Dark Mode
  • Zen Mode

The company also said to offer two significant updates in the future. On the other hand, Apple’s OS offers the following:

  • App Library
  • home screen widget support
  • picture-in-picture feature

Price

The OnePlus 8T costs $749; however, the US user can only buy the 12GB/256GB version. Apple is selling all its iPhone 12 models in the US at $799 for the 64GB variant. The 128GB costs $849, while the 256GB version is priced at $949.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a smartphone with more storage, the OnePlus 8T seems like a better option, and it costs $50 less than the iPhone 12. On the other hand, Apple beats its opponent in a few departments. iPhone 12 comes with wireless charging, and its chipset could offer a better phone experience than the 8T. Not to say that the video recording tech is quite remarkable.
