Recent news about Zelda Breath of the Wild’s official launch on the Nintendo Switch might be sooner than we expected. The game release is one of the highest anticipated events for all the fans out there.
A teaser trailer, however, resurfaced at the end of the E3 Nintendo Direct which offered fans a sneak peek and some hints. The teaser displayed characters like Zelda and Link in a Hyrule, apparently, looking more different. Also, a dark tone was hinted for the new Nintendo Switch game.
Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Theories and Rumors
YouTuber HMK explained in one of his latest videos why he thinks the game will receive 2020 as a launch date. The popular YouTuber identified some hints that analyzed some facts since 2017. HMK thinks that BoTW has been in development since October 2017. This fact resurfaced as Eiji Aonuma, the developer of the game, released a Champion book. Aonuma confirmed at the end of the book that the creation of the BoTW game has already started.
HMK states, “So the game has been in a good chunk of development up until this point. […}, and we still don’t have a lot of information about it, doesn’t mean the game’s development isn’t a good portion in.” HMK goes further with his beliefs by explaining how the BoTW could be sped up because of the original BoTW’s features inspiration.
Another fact involves a BoTW anniversary. The game will celebrate next year for 3 years since its launching.
Other theories from the YouTuber include a 60 % completed status game seen from the trailer and a previous sequel released from Nintendo, Super Mario Galaxy 2. If Breath of the Wild 2 will appear soon in 2020, it will be the first time a mainline Zelda has not been launched within two years of its predecessor.
