Windows 10: Version 1909 Available with New Improvements – When and How to Get It

We have all heard of the next major release of the Windows 10 version 1909. It is set to hit the market in September 2019. This one won’t come with many changes, but it will improve the May 2019 Update.

You won’t need to reinstall it

If you have the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, specifically the version 1903, then your device would simply get the new version through Windows Update. The installation process will be as simple as the others you get every month. With this, the company wants the upgrade process not to be so intrusive anymore, and they want it to be faster, especially since it does not require a full reinstallation.

But if you have an older version, such as the October 2018 Update, you will need to reinstall Windows 10.

Microsoft has in its plan to use artificial intelligence in order to find and then offer the update only to those devices that are actually compatible. They are doing this in order to get rid of problems when it comes to the rollout.

If you want to get the Windows 10 19H2 update, you would be able to do it by using the Media Creation Tool and Update Assistant. The installation process is going to be the same as before.

Version 1909 of Windows 10 is not mandatory

The company wants to release this feature as an optional choice. This means that it won’t be installed automatically, but you have to do it manually, from the Windows Update settings. There is one way you would get it automatically, and that is if your device has a version of Windows 10 that is almost at the end of its life.

What are the features of version 1909?

We are talking about a minor update. There will be some improvements when it comes to notifications, the battery life is also better, and the processors come more powerful. You will also be able to create calendar events from now on.
