WhatsApp is Adding the Possibility for More Participants in a Group Call

Just when you think that WhatsApp has pretty much anything a user could want, the Facebook-owned app keeps coming up with improvements. WhatsApp has reached a fabulous amount of 2 billion users, and the developers surely want to keep them as long as possible. Therefore, assuring a constant level of satisfaction for those clients is a ‘must.’

Group calls via WhatsApp represent an excellent idea during this period when a lot of people are staying at home as much as possible. However, there’s a limit of four participants per group call, and WhatsApp plans to expand that number.

The limit will be increased in the upcoming days in WhatsApp

WhatsApp lends a helping hand for the global fight against the coronavirus pandemic, as it will offer the chance for more people to participate in an in-app group call. WhatsApp’s Android beta revealed the plans of the Facebook-owned company. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet the new number of people accepted for a group call on the famous instant messaging app, but the mystery will be unveiled soon.

WABetaInfo has shown what new features WhatsApp is exploring in v2.20.128 beta and v2.20.129 beta for Android. The v2.20.128 beta has strings that advised the increase of the group call limit.

But just how great an app is WhatsApp right now? Well, the official description from the Play Store says it all: “WhatsApp Messenger is a FREE messaging app available for Android and other smartphones. WhatsApp uses your phone’s Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to let you message and call friends and family. Switch from SMS to WhatsApp to send and receive messages, calls, photos, videos, documents, and Voice Messages.”

WhatsApp is eleven years old, and it’s available for users of Android, iOS, PC, and macOS. However, the computer version of the app works only in the presence of a connected mobile app client.
