Vivo has upgraded its Y mobile phone line-up with the release of the Vivo Y50, which has made waves prior to its launch and was announced not long ago. The new device has been officially revealed in Cambodia and is still expected to be available in the rest of the world.
The major feature of the Vivo Y50 is the punch-hole display, which makes it the first device in the Y series to pack this type of design. It is a mid-range smartphone, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC, and has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The newly released device is also said to pack a microSD card for storage expansion.
Vivo Y50 comes with a quad-camera setup on the backside that includes a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor with 120-degree FoV, and a pair of 2MP sensors with a macro and depth lens. It also has a punch-hole setup as the selfie camera, but the developers have not revealed any details regarding its features. A 6.53-inch FHD+ display that provides users with a 1080 x 2340 resolution is also packed in the new Vivo Y50.

The smartphone is said to come with a big 5,000 mAh battery, but there is no information regarding its hardware. Still, its main features have been leaked via a tweet by the renowned leaker Sudhansu Ambhore.
The developer is yet to reveal all the unknown features and functionalities of its latest mid-range mobile device. On the same topic, the Vivo Y50 is available in Iris Blue and Starry Black color options, at $249 on the company’s Facebook page.
The Vivo Y50 can be pre-ordered starting with April 6th to April 11th. The tech giant is expected then to announce the smartphone’s official launch in the rest of the countries it is set to arrive, including India, China, and so on.
