Sage is obviously the biggest loser of the patch, as her heal has been reduced from 100 to over five seconds to just 60 over five seconds, even though that adjusts to 60 over 10 seconds for self heals. Her slow orb has also been decreased by 30 percent, and Barrier Walls now spawn with 400 HP, which is then increased to 800 after being up for three seconds.
Sage and Killjoy Nerfs
These are rather big changes for Sage, who has been one of the most used agents at all play levels. These adjustments will definitely see her drop out of favor a bit, and it will be interesting how much the professional players will use her after all these changes.
Killjoy has also seen some major changes for the first time, mainly on her Nanoswarm. There is now a short windup before the damage starts, and the damage per second has decreased from 60 to 40. Her turret is also not revealed by recon bolts anymore, which anyway seemed rather odd.
Breach Has Been Significantly Buffed
Breach is the one agent that has been polished a lot. He now has three flash charges, which also has a decreased windup time. Rolling Thunder has been changed as well, and concussion will now descope players hit by it. These are seemingly just the first of a few changes coming to Breach in the near future.
“Breach should be a choice pick in offensive entry and breaking utility,” reads the patch notes. “While the flash’s power was pretty good, too few charges were holding him back on being able to provide this value for his team. Considering he needs teammates to capitalize on his flashes, this should make up for that cost by simply having more of them. These are not all the potential Breach changes we want to do, but as part of our ease-in, intentional-balance philosophy, we want to be measured. Stay tuned for more… potentially.”
Other Agents Changes
Viper has also been adjusted, but mainly with quality of life updates that won’t change her a lot, and Sova has been given some visual changes to enhance things.
Besides the agents, all shotguns have been nerfed, but Vandal has also seen a little buff. Hit impact visual effects have also seen some updates to try to make it clearer when you hit a shot, which should make the hit registration problems not so observable.
