The Elder Scrolls is one of the most popular action role-playing video games on the market. The title is developed and has been published by the renowned Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, which has also created the famed Fallout series and the upcoming Starfield.
The Elder Scrolls already has five sequels, which have gained the admiration of millions of players all over the world. The series has sold around 58 million copies of its titles and has made them some of the most loved action RP games.
Rumor has it that The Elder Scrolls 6 won’t come until after Starfield will be released, which is scheduled for later this year, according to some speculations. It seems, therefore, that the sixth sequel of the famed The Elder Scrolls will launch later than fans expected.
One or Two More Years of Waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6
The only detail available at the moment is that the game will be developed, but no other official announcements have been made yet. There’s no updates regarding The Elder Scrolls 6’s development either, except that the title will launch someday.
The game was confirmed during Bethesda’s E3 2018 appearance, providing fans with only a logo of it so far. There’s no teaser either.
Bethesda Game Studios’ executive producer Tom Howard said: “I think everyone should be very patient,” as he referred to the next title in the series. He then added that “the gap in between is going to be a little more than it already is.”
It seems like we have to wait for two more years, assuming that The Elder Scrolls 6 will launch late 2021. However, 2022 might be a more realistic time frame. It is clear that the game will be made available for the next-generation consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Some rumors claimed that the game would pack photogrammetry technology, which allows players to scan real-life objects and environments and transfer them to the gameplay.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is believed to be set in the continent of Tamriel, more precisely, in Valenwood.
