Tesla has released the latest statistics for the third quarter of 2019, and the numbers are quite impressive. Tesla Model 3 is the most popular car manufactured by the company.
According to the data shared by the company, a record-high production was reached during Q3 2019, as more than 97,000 vehicles have been released. It is no wonder that the Tesla Model 3 had a massive contribution as 79,837 units have been produced and delivered, almost 82% of the cars sold within the timeframe.
Tesla has also underlined the fact that many of the deliveries were made to customers who didn’t make a reservation. The organic demand for electric vehicles has been growing constantly been growing, and it is thought that the numbers could be even higher in the future.
Many will argue that the numbers are quite good, but some may be disappointed by the fact that the company did not manage to reach an internal goal of 100,000 units sold during Q3, a target which was established by Elon Musk, the founder of the company. There is still a solid chance that the goal could, during the last quarter of the year.
An important part of the growth can be linked to an expanding international customer base. In Australia, the Tesla Model 3 became a hit among customers even if the sales have followed a negative trend for several months.
In the following months Tesla could begin to manufacture cars at the Gigafactory 3 located in Shanghai, China. This will be a great boon for the company as the number of sold units could grow dramatically since customers from Asia will not have to pay high sums to import a vehicle to their country.
While the cost of a Tesla may be a bit prohibitive for some potential customers, but the popularity of the company has grown steadily, and it could be even more successful in the future.
