Teamfight Tactics Patch 10.1 to Bring New Champions, New Origin and Item Overhaul

The next patch will stun players that head to the Convergence, since it brings a lot of content. Patch 10.1 will get to the live League of Legends client at the beginning of January and it will not only introduce Karma and Leona to Teamfight Tactics but also their Lunar Origin and a new item. Here’s what you should expect from the TFT patch 10.1 in January 2020.

Teamfight Tactics Patch 10.1 – What to expect from the incoming patch?

First of all, a new origin is being introduced: Lunar Origin.

The Origin will give players who have both Karma and Leona in the battle the following buffs to all champions:

“Every 7 seconds, all allied champions in combat are infused with Moonlight, increasing Crit Chance by 20%, Crit Damage by 20% and Spell Power by 10% (stacks four times).”

Let’s check out Karma and Leona’s skills.

Karma – Tier 3, Lunar (Origin), Mystic (Class)

Active – Inspire: “At the start of combat, tethers to her closest ally. Shields the tethered ally (or a random one if the tether is dead) for 5 seconds, absorbing the next 250/400/800 damage. While the shield holds, the ally receives 100/150 200% bonus attack speed.”

Leona – Tier 1, Lunar (Origin) Warden (Class)

Active – Lunar Barrier:Reduces all damage by 35/70/105 for 5 seconds.”

New Item

The Rise of the Elements meta needed an overhaul, so with the Crossbow, Thornmail, and Phantom Dancer being removed, a new item has to be added. This is why Zhonya’s Hourglass will be introduced in the next patch.

Zhonya’s Hourglass

Recipe:  Chain Vest + Needlessly Large Rod.

Stats: 25 armor, 20 ability power

Passive: “On falling below 30% health, becomes untargetable, invulnerable, but unable to move for 4 seconds.”

More changes should come with the new patch, considering the 10.1 Patch is still being tested in PBE. Check back on our Teamfight Tactics page to learn more updates and news on the incoming patches.
