Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies Patch 10.12 Preview: Mid-Patch Update Incoming – Balance Changes Tested in PBE

The incoming Patch 10.12 will bring to Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies a lot of content – from new champions, to returning champions, new traits, and a ton of balance changes to current champions and items. The following information is taken from the PBE client, meaning they may change until June 9 when Riot publishes the official patch notes.

Patch 10.12 will go live on June 10 and with the new patch, players will have their ranks reset, so this means you only have a few days to rank up! Now let’s check out the current state of TFT Patch 10.12 in PBE.

Game and System Changes

  • Tier 3 champion pool increased to 18 copies of each champion – – from 16 copies of each champion
  • Champions that are not 1-Star or 1-cost now have a 1 gold sell back penalty (a 2-star copy of a 3-cost champ will sell for 8 gold and not 5)
  • Level 9 roll odds changed to 10/15/30/30/15% – – from 10/15/25/35/15%
  • Removed Galaxy: Lilac Nebula

 

New, Returning and Removed Champions

  • New Champions: Bard, Cassiopeia, Illaoi, Riven, Teemo, Urgot, Viktor
  • Returning Champions: Gnar, Janna, Kog’Maw, Nautilus, Nocturne, Vayne, Zed
  • Removed Champions: Cho’Gath, Kai’Sa, Kassadin, Kayle, Kha’Zix, Lux, Miss Fortune, Sona, Vel’Koz

Champion Balance Changes

Annie

  • Starting mana lowered to 70 – from 75
  • Maximum mana lowered to 140 – from 150
  • Base health increased to 750 – from 700
  • Ability damage increased to 300/400/600 – from 150/200/300
  • Ability shield increased to 400/500/700 – from 270/360/540
  • Base armor increased to 50 – from 40
  • Base magic resistance increased to 35 – from 20

Ashe

  • Maximum mana lowered to 100 – from 125
  • Ability damage lowered to 200/275/550 – from 250/350/700
  • Missile speed increased by 50%

Aurelion Sol

  • Starting mana increased to 120 – from 40
  • Ability damage changed to 90/175/750 – from 100/150/750
  • New: Fighter ships now also drain 10/25/50 mana from enemies
  • New: First cast now launches 4 fighters, subsequent casts now launch 2 additional fighters.
  • Base armor increased to 55 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Blitzcrank

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Ekko

  • Starting mana increased to 80 – from 50
  • Ability damage lowered to 100/200/2000 – from 225/400/2000
  • New: Ability now attacks for 5/7/20 times instead of each enemy once
  • New: Ability can now attack the same enemy multiple times
  • New: Ability now also slows the attack speed of all enemies hit by 50% for 7 seconds

Ezreal

  • Maximum mana lowered to 80 – from 125
  • Attack speed increased to 0.75 – from 0.7
  • Ability damage lowered to 100/150/400 – from 200/400/600

Fizz

  • Starting mana lowered to 60 – from 80
  • Maximum mana lowered to 120 to 150
  • Base health increased to 700 – from 600
  • Attack speed increased to 0.85 – from 0.8
  • Ability damage increased to 450/600/5000 – from 350/500/2000

Gangplank

  • Larger Area Upgrade – lowered the size of increased radius

Graves

  • Base armor increased to 40 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 30 – from 20

Jarvan IV

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 40
  • Base magic resistance increased to 30 – from 20

Jayce

  • Base health increased to 850/1350/2430 – from 750/1350/2430
  • Base magic resistance increased to 30 – from 20

Jhin

  • Base attack damage lowered to 85 – from 90
  • Base attack speed changed to 0.85/0.9/1.1 – from 0.9 at all Star-levels

Jinx

  • Ability damage increased to 150/200/1000 – from 125/200/750.

Leona

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 40
  • Base magic resistance increased to 30 – from 20

Malphite

  • Base armor increased to 35 – from 30
  • Base magic resistance increased to 30 – from 20

Mordekaiser

  • Base armor increased to 50 – from 40
  • Base magic resistance increased to 35 – from 20

Neeko

  • Ability damage lowered to 150/250/500 – from 200/275/550
  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Nocturne

  • Ability damage increased to 200/250/350 – from 150/200/300

Poppy

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 40
  • Base magic resistance increased to 30 – from 20

Rakan

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 35 – from 20

Rumble

  • Base health increased to 900 – from 800
  • Maximum mana lowered to 50 – from 60
  • Ability damage increased to 500/750/1500 – from 350/500/1000
  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Shaco

  • Ability AD ratio increased to 250/275/300% AD – from 200/225/250% AD

Shen

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 35 – from 20

Syndra

  • Maximum mana lowered to 60 – from 65
  • Ability damage lowered to 100/125/200 – from 100/150/250
  • New: If the ability kills her target, extra orbs move on to the next target

Thresh

  • Base armor increased to 55 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Vi

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Wukong

  • Base armor increased to 55 – from 40
  • Base magic resistance increased to 40 – from 20

Xin Zhao

  • Base armor increased to 45 – from 35
  • Base magic resistance increased to 35 – from 20

 

Traits – New/Balance Changes

Battlecast – New

Upon dealing or taking 10 instances of damage, Battlecast units heal if below 50% health, or deal magic damage to the nearest enemy if above 50% health.

  • 2 Battlecast units buff: 70 damage and heal
  • 4 Battlecast units buff: 150 damage and heal
  • 6 Battlecast units buff: 275 damage and heal
  • 8 Battlecast units buff: 500 damage and heal

Item: Battlecast Hex Core will turn any champion into a Battlecast


Brawler

  • Bonus health lowered to 350/600 (based on the number of Brawlers) – from 350/650

Celestial

  • Healing increased to 15/40/99% (based on the number of Celestials) – from 15/35/60%

Chrono

  • Interval between bonus attack speed changed to 8/3.5/1.5/0.75 (based on the number of Chronos) seconds – from 8/3.5/1.5 (based on the number of Chronos).

Cybernetic

  • Bonus health lowered to 350/600 (based on the number of Cybernetics) – from 350/700
  • Bonus AD increased to 40/80 (based on the number of Cybernetics) – from 35/70

Dark Star

New: When an ally unit dies, all Dark Star units gain 8/16/24/32 (based on the number of Dark Stars) bonus attack damage and spell power

Removed: When a Dark Star unit dies, all other Dark Star units gain 20/25/35 (based on the number of Dark Stars) bonus attack damage and spell power


Infiltrator

  • Bonus attack speed lowered to 40/70/120% (based on the number of Infiltrators) – from 50/75/120%

Mech-Pilot

  • New: Pilots are now ejected at 35% maximum health if the Super-Mech dies.

 

Super-Mech Base Stats

  • Base health increased to 2000 – from 1500
  • Health ratio increased to 50% – from 45%
  • Base attack damage increased to 160 – from 90
  • Attack damage scaling increased to 50% – from 45%
  • Attack speed increased to 0.85 – from 0.75
  • Cleave damage lowered to 80% – from 100%
  • Base armor increased to 70 – from 30
  • Base magic resistance increased to 70 – from 20
  • Maximum mana lowered to 200 – from 225

Mystic

  • Bonus magic resistance increased to 50/125 (based on the number of Mystics) – from 30/105

Paragon – New

Ally Star Guardian basic attacks are converted to true damage while all other ally basic attacks are converted to magic damage.


Protector

  • Shield increased to 30/40/55% (based on the number of Protectors) of maximum health – from 25/30/40%

Sniper

  • Bonus damage changed to 10/18% (based on the number of Snipers) – from 15% at 2 Snipers

Sorcerer

  • Spell power changed to 20/45/75 (based on the number of Sorcerers) – from 20/40/75/120

Star Guardian

  • Distributed mana changed to 30/45/60 (based on the number of Star Guardians) – from 30/50

Vanguard

  • Bonus armor increased to 125/300/1000 (based on the number of Vanguards) – from 125/250

 

Items – New/Balance Changes

Battlecast Hex Core – New

  • Stats: 20 ability power
  • Passive: Wearer is also a Battlecast. Cannot equip on a champion that is already a Battlecast
  • Unique: Can only equip one of this item
  • Recipe: Spatula + Needlessly Large Rod

Blue Buff – New (Replaces Seraph’s Embrace)

  • Stats: 30 starting mana
  • Passive: After each spellcast, the wearer’s mana is set to 20
  • Unique: Can only equip one of this item
  • Recipe: Tear of the Goddess + Tear of the Goddess

Chalice of Power – New (Replaces Chalice of Favor)

  • Stats: 15 starting mana and 25 magic resistance
  • Passive: At the start of combat, the wearer and all allies within 1 hex in the same row to the left and right gain 30 ability power for 20 seconds
  • Recipe: Tear of the Goddess + Negatron Cloak

Deathblade

  • Bonus attack damage per stack lowered to 25 – from 30

Giant Slayer

  • New: Basic attacks and spells now deal 25% bonus true damage, increased to 100% if the enemy has over 1750 maximum health
  • Removed: Basic attacks no longer deal 12% of target’s current health bonus physical damage on-hit

Hextech Gunblade

  • Removed: No longer heals for 25% of basic attack damage done
  • Spell damage healed increased to 35% – from 25%

Infinity Edge

  • Bonus critical strike damage lowered to 20% – from 100%
  • Bonus critical strike chance increased to 100% – from 20%
  • New: Is now a Unique item

Jeweled Gauntlet

  • New: Now grants 20% bonus critical strike damage.
  • Is no longer Unique.

Luden’s Echo

  • Damage changed to 200 at all Star-levels – from 150/175/225 (based on Star level)

Neeko’s Help

  • New: Now always works, if there’s nothing left in the pool, creates a temporary extra champion

Rapid Firecannon

  • New: Basic attacks cannot miss

Warmog’s Armor

  • Removed: No longer regenerates 5% missing health per second, up to 150 health per tick
  • Health increased to 1000 – from 400
