Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies – Official Patch 10.8 Notes: Xerath and New Galaxies Come to TFT on April 15

Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies patch 10.8 will go live tomorrow on April 15, and bring a lot of new content and changes with it. We’re talking about the new champion, Xerath, new galaxies, and a few game system changes.

New Content

New Galaxies Mechanics

  • Trade Sector: Players get one free reroll in each round.
  • Superdense Galaxy: Upon reaching level 5, players receive a free Force of Nature.

There’s now about a 50% chance of getting a special Galaxy vs. Normal game with Trade Sector and Superdense Galaxies a tad more favored than the others.

Xerath – New Champion

  • Tier 5 – Cost 5 (Legendary unit)
  • Origin: Dark Star
  • Class: Sorcerer
  • Health: 750/1350/2430
  • Armor: 20
  • Attack Damage: 60/108/194
  • Attack Speed: 0.9
  • Mana: 30/80
  • Spell: Abyssal Bombardment: Xerath transforms, summoning meteors to strike random foes in place of his normal attacks for 6/8/45 seconds. Meteors deal 300/400/2500 magic damage upon impact and if they kill their target, all adjacent enemies take 150/200/1250 magic damage and are stunned for 1.5 seconds.

System Changes

  • Win and Loss Streaks: 2(1g)/3(2g)/4+(3g) ⇒ 2-3(1g)/4(2g)/5+(3g)
  • Base Damage per Stage: 0/3/4/5/10/15/20 ⇒ 0/0/1/2/5/10/15
  • Total Damage based on the number of surviving units: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10… ⇒ 2/4/6/8/10/11/12/13/14/15…

Balance Changes Traits and Units

Infiltrator

  • [New] – 6 champ bonus: 125% bonus Attack Speed

Celestial

  • 4 champ healing increased to 40% – from 30%
  • 6 champ healing increased to 65% – from 60%

Cybernetic

  • 6 champ bonus:

– health lowered to 750 – from 800

– AD lowered to 75 – from 80


Protector

  • [New] – 6 Champ bonus: 45% Maximum Health Shield

Rebel

  • [New] – 9 champ bonus: 350 Shield & 15% Damage

Blademaster

  • [New] – 9 champ bonus: 100% chance to trigger

Mech-Pilot – Super Mech

  • Health changed to 1800 + 50% of Pilots Health – from 100% of Pilots Health
  • Spell Damage changed to 400/500/600/700/800/1200/5000 – from 400/500/600/700/900/1500/5000

Dark Star

  • [New] – 9 champ bonus: +45 Attack Damage and Spell Power

Sorcerer

  • 4 Champ Spell power increased to 45% – from 40%
  • [New] – 8 champ bonus: +125% Spell power

Space Pirate

  • 4 champ chance for component item drop increased to 20% – from 15%

Balance Changes: Champions

Annie

  • Armor increased to 40 – from 35
  • Blast Shield increased to 270/360/540 – from 225/300/450

Aurelion Sol

  • Health increased to 1100 – from 950
  • Armor increased to 35 – from 30

Caitlyn

  • Ability damage increased to 750/1500/3000 – from 700/1000/1800

Darius

  • Mana lowered to 0/60 – from 0/70

Fizz

  • Health lowered to 600 – from 650
  • Attack Speed increased to 0.8 – from 0.7

Jinx

  • Attack Speed increased to 0.75 – from 0.7

Lucian

  • Attack Damage lowered to 50 – from 55

Shen

  • Health increased to 800 – from 700
  • Ability duration increased to 2.5/3/5 – from 2.5/3/4

Soraka

  • Health increased to 700 – from 650
  • Ability heal increased to 375/550/20000 – from 350/500/2000

Shaco

  • Attack Damage lowered to 50 – from 55
  • Ability damage increased to 300/325/350% – from 250/325/400%

Syndra

  • Attack range increased to 890 – from 660
  • Ability damage increased to 80/120/250 – from 80/120/200

Rakan

  • Grand Entrance Targeting changed to [Furthest Enemy within 3 Hexes] – from [Attack Target]
  • Grand Entrance Knock-up Radius lowered to 1 – from 2
  • Total mana lowered to 100 – from 150
  • Mana changed to 50/80 – from 50/150

Vel’Koz

  • Lifeform Disintegration Ray Duration lowered to 2 – from 2.5
  • Vel’Koz will now cast more efficiently on smaller groups of units

Wukong

  • Ability damage increased to 300/500/4000 – from 250/450/2000

Xayah

  • Attack speed changed to 100%/125%/150% – from 75%/100%/150%

Zoe

  • Ability damage increased to 200/275/400 – from 150/225/400
  • Stun duration increased to 2/2.5/4 – from 2/2.5/3

Balance Changes to Items

  • Chalice of Favor: Now also grants mana to holder
  • Deathblade Starting stacks: 2 ⇒ 0 / Deathblade Attack Damage per stack: 15 ⇒ 30
  • Frozen Heart Attack Speed slow: 40% ⇒ 50%
  • Rapid Firecannon Bonus Range: 100% ⇒ 200% / Rapid Firecannon now displays a visual beam on attack when increasing the range of low range champions.
  • Shroud of Stillness Width: 1 Hex ⇒ 1.5 Hexes
  • Tear of the Goddess Mana: 20 ⇒ 15, All completed items adjusted accordingly.
  • Zeke’s Herald Range: 2 hexes ⇒ 1 hex / Zeke’s Herald Attack Speed: 18% ⇒ 30%
