Bandai Namco has announced the next DLC character SoulCalibur 6 fans will eventually be able to play. The new character is the popular and royal Hilde.
Hilde first made an appearance in SoulCalibur 4 and was also present in the following sequel, SoulCalibur 5. The reveal trailer depicts her taking on various opponents, using both sword and pole to aim from a distance and also close range.
“Her royal highness Hilde will be making her way to the Stage of History!” the developer Bandai Namco said across its social media accounts. “Get ready to add the Defender of the Kingdom to your roster of warriors!”
As Hilde has been a roster staple since SoulCalibur 4, for players all over the world, her joining the ranks in the most recent sequel of the fan-favorite fighting game comes as a sweet little surprise.
So far, it is not certain when Hilde will become accessible, but fans who have already stumped up for a season pass are anticipated to receive access to her as part of the DLC content for no extra charge.
A Great Remaster
SoulCalibur 6 is, therefore, a widely successful smooth remaster of a franchise most people had forgotten about. It will have a back-to-basics attitude to fighting that both new players and series veterans will most definitely enjoy.
Some fans and players believe that outside the actual fighting scenes, the game has a few issues that let the overall title down. They allegedly do not expect Bandai Namco to completely revive the franchise’s glory days, nor do they expect it to out of the blue reach the top of the fighting game charts. It is also not anticipated to override titles such as Street Fighter 5, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Tekken 7 at tournaments or on streams.
However, it is great to witness SoulCalibur celebrate its 30th anniversary with the greatest game the franchise has seen in a long time.
