Sony Xperia L4 Was Revealed – Here is Everything We Know About it

Sony had a scheduled appearance on February 24th at the MWC 2020, which was slated to take place in Barcelona, in which it planned to reveal its new flagship mobile phones, as well as other products. However, among other tech companies that announced their withdrawing from the event because of the coronavirus epidemic, Sony also revealed the fact that it will not participate.

In fact, the Japanese tech giant announced that it would unveil its new products, as well as the Xperia 9 in a press conference via its official Xperia YouTube channel at the scheduled time of 8:30 AM (CET) on February 24th.

Meanwhile, Sony has reported the launch of a new mobile device, named Xperia L4, which is the successor of the Xperia L3 released in 2019. The new smartphone is available in blue and black color options, and people will be able to purchase it starting with Spring 2020.

Here are some specs and details of the new Xperia L4; no information, however, has been revealed regarding its price and exact date of availability.

Sony Xperia L4 – Specifications

The Xperia L4 packs a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. Under the hood, the mobile device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, which can be extended up to 512GB via a microSD card. It runs on Android 9 Pie and features the company’s familiar design.

The device comes in both single and dual SIM configurations and packs a fingerprint sensor on the side. When it comes to the camera specs, the Xperia L4 has a triple-camera module on the back: a 13MP main sensor with an LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP, with 117-degree ultra-wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture, as well as a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

On the front, it packs an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Speaking of connectivity, the Sony Xperia L4 is available in dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It also has a 3,580 mAh battery powering it and supports fast charging.

The Sony Xperia L4 can encounter some strong rivals when it launches, as other competitors have a reasonable price but pack some more advanced features and specs than the Xperia L4.
