Let’s be honest: camera capabilities are among the most important specs for a smartphone these days, if not the most important. If you thought that the camera for the Galaxy S20 model is powerful enough, than you must know that the main snapper for the upcoming Galaxy S21 is a lot higher according to reliable sources: 150 MP.
Trying to imagine what kind of photos would you get with such a camera is jaw-dropping. The upcoming top-tier model of Samsung will feature such capabilities, and it doesn’t already have an official name. However, we might just call it Galaxy S21 Ultra or Galaxy S30 Ultra.

The good news doesn’t end for the upcoming Galaxy S21, S30, or whatever you want to call it. The gadget will be equipped with a Snapdragon 875 processor, a 64MP telephoto, a 12MP macro, a 16MP ultra wide-angle, and a 3D ToF sensor. The processor will be Qualcomm’s first SoC made on the 5nm process. The Snapdragon chipset will be carrying an integrated Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
Samsung is also awaited to bring an improved front-facing camera for the Galaxy S21. There shall be a bigger sensor and optical image stabilization. The South Korean company reported that it’s testing two prototypes for the upcoming phone. One of them is featuring a 1/2-inch sensor, while the other is featuring a 1/2.55-inch sensor with OIS.
Samsung is also negotiating with BOE, a Chinese manufacturer for phone displays. The goal is to supply OLED screens for one of the upcoming devices of the South Korean giant, according to The Elec. We can bet that the phone in question is the Samsung Galaxy S30/S21.
The future is looking good for Samsung, as it remains comfortably the leading company when it comes to manufacturing smartphones.
