It looks like the Galaxy S11 will be released by Samsung sooner than expected. S11 will be the South Korean company’s 2020 flagship, and the latest leak from SamMobile is revealing to us that the development of the future device has already begun.
Therefore, the Samsung Galaxy S11 phone is expected to be equipped with Android 10, One UI 2.1, 5G modem, and others.
Firmware under the works
The new leak is telling us that Samsung has started to work on the firmware for Galaxy S11, which will have the device number SM-G986B. Along with the S11 model, another two models will be released to the market: S11e and S11 Plus. SM-G981 and SM-G988 will be the device numbers of the other two models, in this order.
It’s true that we would like to know more about the specs for Galaxy S11, but the report is telling us that it will pack 5G modem for 5G data and calling support. However, it’s also expected that Samsung will release a 4G variant for the phone as well.
The Galaxy S11 will be equipped with Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 3.0, which will enable fast read and write speeds. As for storage sizes, the future phone will come in 128 GB and 512 GB variants.
Other rumors are claiming the existence of 5x optical zoom lens in the rear camera setup. The screen will have a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The previous S10 phone has been available to buy during March, and we could expect a similar scenario for the selling of S11. Therefore, it’s likely to see it in stores in March 2020. However, the launch of Galaxy S11 will be held on February 2020.
