Galaxy A42 5G is an upcoming smartphone from Samsung. This mobile phone is a new product and will be part of the A-series category. The reason why we are so excited about this topic is the affordable price. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will cost roughly $455, becoming Samsung’s cheapest 5G smartphone. Galaxy A51 5G used to be the cheapest 5G phone of the A-series, costing $500. However. The new phone is now the most affordable of the lineup.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G specs
The new Samsung smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 750G chipset. The processor is new on the market as Qualcomm just announced it last month. However, compared to Pixel 4A, it is not as powerful. Google’s affordable phone features a Snapdragon 765G processor, which is better than the Snapdragon 750G chipset.
Galaxy A42 5G sports a 6.6-inch OLED display, and it will be available in two configurations, 4GB and 8GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of internal storage. However, if you want more storage, you have the option to expand it with a MicroSD card. A 5,000 mAh battery powers the phone, and it sports an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The front-facing camera is a 20 MP sensors in a teardrop cutout. On the rear of the A42 5G is a 48 MP wide sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5 MP macro sensor, and a 5 MP depth sensor. The later sensor is perfect for creating portrait effects.
Galaxy A42 5G comes in three colors: black, gray, and white. However, all color options feature a dense grid pattern on the back of the phone. The grid changes its shade depending on how you hold the smartphone.

At the moment, we know Samsung will launch the A42 5G in the UK on November 6. However, we don’t know when it will launch in the US.
