Realme has excellent plans with the future updates of its devices so that it will roll out WiFi calling support to some devices. In a few days, the company will come with an update that will give the feature of taking and making calls with your WiFi only. This means free charge and continuing connection if you are on the WiFi network, and nothing to worry in case of dark spots because of the network.
Realme has a list of phones that will receive the WiFi support, including the Realme X2 Pro. Some of the phones will receive the update at the final of January and other in February and March. What is cool about the WiFi features is that besides the audio calls, you can receive or give video calls as well. If you are curious about the phones that are receiving this feature, we have a mini list for you.
First, we will start with the phones that will receive the update in February 2020. On the list, we have the Realme 5 Pro, the Realme 3 Pro, the Realme 5, the Realme 5i, the Realme 5s, the Realme XT, and the Realme X.
More Realme devices to get WiFi calling support
The second update for the Realme phones will come in March 2020. The list contains the Realme 1, the Realme 2, the Realme C1, the Realme C2, the Realme 3, the Realme 3i, the Realme 2 Pro, and the Realme U1.
The Wi-Fi feature that will come for the Realme phones is added to India as well. The WiFi calling has another name as well, VoWiFi, and you can dial straight from your phone’s dialer. We don’t know if WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger will lose users with this new feature, but it is excellent to know that you can call without cost even if you don’t have internet data.
Finally, the Realme brand is not the only one receiving the WiFi update. Xiaomi has officially support for its models, such as the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
