Apple is doing its last preparations for launching the iPhone 12 lineup in October, meaning a month later than the initial launch date of the Cupertino-based company’s flagship phones. iPhone 12 will be available in four versions, all of them having OLED display: the standard variant of 5.4 inches, Max (6.1 inches), Pro (6.1 inches), and Pro Max (6.7 inches).
iPhone 12 will be featuring plenty of features that are worthy of attention. We can mention the 5G connectivity, the next-generation A14 Bionic chipset, improved cameras, 120Hz display, and more. But what should fans be most excited about?
The 5G connectivity takes the cake
The online retailer SellCell conducted a pre-launch survey among 2500 iPhone owners from the US. At the question ‘What are the most important rumored features of the new iPhone 12 that would make you want to upgrade?’, the results are as pretty much the way most of us would have predicted:
- 5G connectivity: 58% (1483)
- New design: 41% (1048)
- Improved cameras: 32.9% (842)
- Faster processor (A14 Bionic chip): 19% (485)
- 120Hz display: 28% (664)
- LiDAR scanner: 14.9% (382)
- Compact form factor (5.4 inch iPhone): 51.5% (1317)
2,558 people were asked if they would upgrade to the iPhone 12 flagship, and the responses were pretty interesting: 41% of them said they would indeed upgrade, 34% said they wouldn’t do it, while 25% responded with ‘maybe’. The results are very promising, considering that the vast majority of iPhone users already know what the next flagship from Apple will be capable of. The internet is loaded with info about iPhone 12, although the phone is not out yet.
iPhone 12 is expected to be a serious upgrade for the predecessor iPhone 11. The eleventh major iteration of iPhones meant a huge set of improvements compared to the iPhone X model. iPhone 11 has the A13 Bionic chipset (the fastest processor for iPhones), waterproof, high-quality video, and more.
