OnePlus Nord Lite could have been spotted on a benchmarking website as a new OnePlus mobile device was listed on Geekbench featuring a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This, therefore, hints at a lite OnePlus Nord model.
The new smartphone version has appeared on the benchmarking site with the model number ‘OnePlus BE2028;’ the OnePlus Nord was previously spotted on Geekbench with the model number ‘AC2003.’
The new OnePlus mid-range smartphone is listed to support the ‘lito’ processor, which is usually featured on the Snapdragon 765 SoC range. Still, the base CPU frequency and identifier information in this new listing suggest that the OnePlus BE2023 model may be running the Snapdragon 690 chipset.
Is There an Actual OnePlus Nord Lite?
The alleged OnePlus Nord Lite listing implies that the device will run on Android 10, and have 6GB of RAM. Qualcomm revealed the Snapdragon 690 SoC last month, and it would be the first processor in the Snapdragon 600 range to support 5G. The chip has eight Kryo 560 CPU cores running at up to 1.7GHz, similar to what has been suggested by the new listing.
The new model could be a Lite version of the OnePlus Nord smartphone. However, the company has never hinted at such a model, which is why the information should be taken with a pinch of salt. OnePlus may indeed be developing a liter version, but it may launch it later and not together with the OnePlus Nord Lite on July 21st.
The OnePlus Nord has been found on Geekbench with the model number AC2003 in the past, and it is expected to feature 128GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 765 SoC with 1.8GHz frequency.
Those interested in purchasing the smartphone or simply watch the launch event can buy an OnePlus Nord AR Launch Invite from Amazon, or download the OnePlus Nord AR application, which is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store to attend the virtual launch conference.
