The Spring 2020 Event is Scheduled for Next Week
The Pokémon GO Spring 2020 event is still set to go live next week on April 9th, in spite of all the issues caused by the coronavirus outbreak currently affecting the world. The event will run from April 9th to April 16th of this year, and during that time, numerous creatures, including Exeggcute, Chansey, Mareep, Marill, and Torchic, will show up more regularly. Moreover, Shiny Exeggcute will also appear on rare occasions, and flower crown Buneary, as well as flower hat Pikachu, will spawn in the wild together with their Shiny variants.
As per the report released by the developers, flower crown, Pichu and Togepi will also hatch from two kilometers eggs throughout the spring event, besides normal versions of Happiny, Munchlax, Tyrogue, Chingling, and Riolu.
In order to help players hatch these creatures, all eggs collected during the spring event will be of the two-kilometer variety. Moreover, as part of Pokémon GO’s ongoing attempts to make playing alone more exciting, all incubated eggs are expected to hatch at twice their regular pace. Players will get double hatch candy during the event, and Lucky Eggs will last for an hour instead of the usual 30 minutes.
However, before the spring event, the developers have released a new update for Pokémon GO, that comes with a few changes.
Pokémon GO 0.171.3 Update
The new release, Pokémon GO 0.171.3 update, brings ‘Today View,’ which can be found in the ‘Today’ tab on the research screen and which allows you to view current event bonuses. Moreover, players can now continue fighting in the GO Battle League even if they do not win any battles in a set of five.
