While a whole world is waiting for the PlayStation 5 console to arrive to the market, it’s nice to see that its predecessor still has a lot to say. Since its release in 2013 by Sony, PlayStation 4 was responsible for numerous hours of intense gameplay for its about 90 million users.
PlayStation 4 just received a brand new system update that has the 7.51 version, and you are free to download it if you own such a console. The patch notes are not too important, however. It’s a small firmware update that can be found when trying to access the PlayStation Store.
Update 7.51 improves performance
The new update for PS4 improves performance, and it weighs 471.4 MB. Sony revealed a few things regarding the download speeds:
“Players may experience somewhat slower or delayed game downloads but will still enjoy robust gameplay. We appreciate the support and understanding from our community, and their doing their part, as we take these measures in an effort to preserve access for everyone.”
The company continued by saying:
“We will take similar measures in the United States, and we will continue to take appropriate action to do our part to help ensure internet stability as this unprecedented situation continues to evolve. We are grateful for the role we play in helping deliver a sense of community and entertainment in these very trying times. Thank you again for your support, your patience, and for being part of the PlayStation community. Please stay home and stay safe.”
The PlayStation 5 console is expected to arrive in December, and it will bring gaming at a whole new level. The PlayStation 4 console will obviously become obsolete, not to mention the even older PlayStation 3. PS5 will bring haptic controllers and significantly more hardware power.
Until PS5 arrives, PS4 is still a load of fun, and it will live forever in the hearts of many gamers.
