OnePlus Releases OxygenOS 10.0 for OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T

When OnePlus launched their OnePlus 7T Pro at the event in October, they have also announced that OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T will receive the Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 update this month.

Users of OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are now getting OxygenOS 10.0 on their smartphones. The update is based on Android 10, and brings forth a lot of tweaks and features.

The rollout of OxygenOS 10.0 is slowly getting to some devices at first so that users can report bugs or issues, and then more users will receive the update after these issues get fixed.

Here is what OxygenOS 10.0 brings to OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T.

OxygenOS 10.0 Features

The OxygenOS 10.0 changelog shows that OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T get a new UI design, full-screen gesture navigations, more customization features in Settings, better privacy controls and privacy location permissions and more.

The size of the OxygenOS 10.0 update is 1802MB.

Users that have not yet received the update will have to wait a few days for it to be pushed since OnePlus has rolled it out for a small number of OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users – from random regions.

Users will see there is a new Game Space to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T in the new update, where all games installed on the phone can be found for a “better gaming experience” and easier access.

Another noteworthy feature is the Contextual Display for Ambient Display, which can be found in:

Settings > Display > Ambient Display > Contextual Display

This feature can deliver information based on time, location and events.

Another addition to the latest update is the ability to block spam messages using keywords. To activate it, users must head over to:

Messages > Spam > Settings > Blocking settings

What users will not see in the OxygenOS 10.0 update is the Hide Notch option. However, we might see it in the next update based on Android 10.
