Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090: Price- is it worth it?

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series is right around the corner. Its new Ampere-based graphics cards are a hot topic among the fans—especially the powerful RTX 3090, which already appeared on shopping sites, like Amazon and Best Buy.

On the other hand, EVGA and Gigabyte offer a few versions of the Founders Edition RTX 3090. The upcoming graphics cards feature 10,496 CUDA cores. It also packs 24GB of GDDR6X memory and three ventilators. Overall, this product looks very promising.

At the moment, Nvidia’s best graphics card is the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. However, the next-gen graphics card will surpass its predecessor by far. Nvidia’s next best graphics card is more powerful than the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. But, all the best things in life come at a high price.

The entry money for the Founders Edition RTX 3090 is $1,499, which is already high. However, third-party variants’ value is increased significantly. You can find Gigabyte Eagle and Gigabyte Gaming models for $1,549,99 and $1,579.99. But the price is not the only thing you need to worry about. You also need a capable PC to make the most of the GPU power, and building an RTX 3090 gaming PC takes $2,000.

The new graphics cards’ price is hefty; however, if you are looking for one with a fancy cooling system, get ready to take more money out of your pocket. Keep in mind the Gigabyte’s graphics cards are using air-based cooling systems and cost a lot of cash.

However, if you want a graphics card with a cooling water system, you might need to start saving. The upcoming EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Kingpin graphics card features a twin-fan radiator and a cooling water system. Its value hasn’t been disclosed yet; however, prepare yourself for a skyrocketing price.

If you are a tech gaming maniac, I recommend you the powerful GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card. Of course, it only applies if you prefer a PC over the next-gen consoles. The upcoming graphics card offers 4K resolution, 60 fps. Plus, 8K gaming sounds very appealing, doesn’t it?
