The upcoming NBA 2K game looks more realistic than it ever did, thanks to careful work on small details!
About The Game
Everybody is excited about the upcoming generation of gaming consoles, as we are a bit over a month away from their launch days.
2K sports gave us a peek at what next-gen gaming will look like.
In response to its sweaty Zion Williamson preview from last summer, they published a new two-minute trailer to show how in-game players are rendered, and the amount of detail is shocking! Also, the upgrades in terms of animation systems and physics are stunning!
One detail that is obvious in our current times is that the game is your only option to see basketball matches in crowded stadiums, as the pandemic restrictions forbid that in real life.
2K claims that the arena contains “more than 150 unique AI-driven characters interacting seamlessly” in the lower bowl.
A shot of Luka Doncic as he walks into the stadium shows as much detail and liveliness as we would expect from a real human being. You can almost feel that emotion!
The game features a Rail cam angle mimicking what we saw from the action in the “bubble” restart that puts players closer to the court than ever.
Here is the trailer, in case you haven’t seen it yet:
We don’t yet know how gameplay will be modified. Still, extra information on that will come in the form of “three Courtside Reports that cover core gameplay, new movement, and the highly-anticipated “Impact Engine,” and next-gen AI and significant changes to the MyPLAYER Builder.”
We will learn more about MyCareer, WNBA, and the Neighborhood mode in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned!
