Motorola RAZR 2 expected with larger displays, Snapdragon 765G processor and 8 GB RAM on board

The end of spring also brought us the news that Motorola is working on a new foldable smartphone by the end of this year, a successor for the Motorola RAZR 2019 that did not make a good impression among consumers. It was criticized for the modest hardware in relation to the peppery price, the large edges and the bangs of the inner screen but also for the plastic protection applied over the display that was immediately scratched. We are now preparing for an updated and improved version of which we find out new details through Ross Young, CEO of the Display Supply Consulting Chain (DSCC).

He would have found out that the Motorola RAZR 2020 aka Motorola RAZR 2 will opt for a 6.7 inch foldable screen, the increase being 0.5 inches compared to the current foldable available on the market. We should also expect an extension of the display which could go from 2.7 inches to over 3 inches. Thus the frontal area will be covered in a higher percentage and will contribute to an easier interaction without opening the flap. This is the only information that Ross communicated, but on the list of facilities we have mentioned the Snapdragon 765G processor.

This means that we will also receive a modem for 5G connectivity, and the basic configuration would include 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. We will also have a 48 mpx main camera, and the selfie camera will be a 20 mpx unit. The current foldable RAZR brings 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, Snapdragon 710 processor and 16 mpx main camera. Another upgrade we are waiting for is at the battery level where the first foldable Motorola offered a unit of only 2510 mAh with power at 15W.
