Madden NFL 21 and FIFA 21 Official Release Date for PS5 and Xbox Series X/SGames

Madden NFL 21 and FIFA 21 Official Release Date for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

The upgraded version of Madden NFL 21 and FIFA 21 will arrive on the PS5 and Xbox Series X or S consoles. However, these two games will skip the launch dates for upcoming gaming devices. The official release date is December 4 for both video games, according to today’s EA announcement.

The team also announced that the PS4 and Xbox One users who buy the Madden NFL 21 or/and FIFA 21 video games would get the digital version for the next-gen consoles free of charge. Those who are planning to go for the physical copy of the games will get the upgrade for free as well. However, in order to achieve that, they will have to go through an EA website to redeem it.

The promotion won’t last forever. After Madden NFL 22 and FIFA 22 versions are out, PS4 and Xbox One owners won’t be able to redeem their upgrade. However, there is still enough time to do so, as the next version of both games will more than likely come out in late 2021. This was not the case in the beginning, as the EA team wanted to leave the offer open until December 31, 2020, only. However, due to public complaints, the time limit has been extended.

Both games will work much faster on the new console models from Sony and Microsoft. However, the future PS5 owner will get to enjoy the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback technology. Another good news is that players will be able to transfer their game progress and collected items to either of the newer console versions.

In comparison to 2K Sports’ NBA 2K series, EA has better chances of attracting the public. NBA 2K21 is not available for free if you want to upgrade your console, not to say it also costs more. You will need to get the “Mamba Forever” special edition in order to own both versions of the game, which costs $100. NBA 2K21 is priced at $70 for the next-gen consoles.
