We have just seen what Legends of Runeterra patch 1.12 brings, but if you are looking for more details on what’s coming with the Monuments of Power Expansion, here are some info.
Monuments of Power Expansion: New Content
The Legends of Runeterra Call of the Mountain set is getting a new expansion called Monuments of Power. The expansion will introduce 40 new collectible cards, including three champions: Shyvana, Soraka, and Tahm Kench. There will also be a new card type called Landmarks.
Let us take a look at what we are going to experience once Patch 1.12 goes live.
Landmarks
- Landmarks: Landmarks are a new card type that represent powerful locations in Runeterra. They’re played onto the board like units and take up board space, but can’t attack or block, or be affected by cards unless they specify that they can affect Landmarks. Instead, each Landmark is defined by its unique abilities.
New Cards
- 10 each for Targon, Bilgewater, and Demacia (including 1 champion each), and 2 each for the remaining regions.
- 6 Landmark cards.
New Champions
- Shyvana (Demacia), Soraka (Targon), Tahm Kench (Bilgewater)
Other Features
As for the other features added with the patch, we talked in our 1.12 Patch notes article about the “New Lab: A Landmark Occasion,” updated Region Roads, new Challenge, quests, and AI deck, new cosmetic items, all the ranked reward icons and a new Ranked season.
The Roadmap for Runeterra shows us there are more goodies coming our way in the following two months. We will see a new theme featured in an event that should take place in October-November, and then there is also the Seasonal Tournaments that will last through October-December.
