Not long ago, League of Legends developer Riot Games has talked about Riot Forge – their effort to publish single-player projects which are set in the League of Legends universe. Other developers do these projects. This is the first project of this kind.
The entire project was revealed at The Game Awards. This is the first Riot Forge-published game, and it is called Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. It is created by the Airship Syndicate, which’s also the creator of Darksiders Genesis.
This game is based on RPG set after Burning Tides. Players will be LoL champions while exploring Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles.
As per the Airship Syndicate CEO, Joe Madureira, they have worked on a new take on turn-based combat. We are looking forward to seeing what it’s all about.
League of Legends: Ruined King Is Their First Singleplayer Game Mode In The Franchise
The trailer is everywhere on the internet, so make sure you check it as soon as possible. In this trailer, you will see the spirits in Thresh’s lantern, and how they’re bursting out and doing different things, then going to Bilgewater, which is the region that’s known for all of its docks.
Riot Forge is the new publishing brand of Riot Games, which has a lot of plans in working with other developers: they want to create more games that are going to take place in the League of Legends universe.
Riot Games is working on a fighting game, which will be an action RPG, and also a card game, Legends of Runeterra – an in-house in the League of Legends Universe, and a new IP first-person shooter game.
Ruined King will focus on Bilgewater, and we can see the concept of art illustrated on the Riot Forge website. There are more games to come, which will be set in Zaun, Freljord, or Piltover.
