League of Legends PBE Leaks Mysterious New Name: Who Is Samira?

The League of Legends patch 10.16 has been in PBE for almost a week and we’ve all been able to take a look at Yone and see how his kit works. However, even though he should be the main focus of the next patch, a new name was discovered in the patch files by MooBeat, who’s behind the Surrenderat20 website.

Aside from a shiny silver S and some icons that reference to ‘energy ray’, ‘rose’, ‘petals’, flames’, and ‘shimmer,’ there’s also a reference to ‘Samira.’

Could Samira be the next champion after Yone?

League of Legends Champion Roadmap – The Mysterious ‘S’ – Easter Egg Discovered

The latest champion roadmap was talking about a masked assassin, who ended up being Yone and a dreamy jungler, who is Lillia. However, the third champion is a “thrill-seeking marksman.” They teased that this marksman’s “dressed to slay” and should be “coming later this year.”

In June’s champion roadmap, Riot Games asked us:

“Do you like to laugh in the face of danger? Do you enjoy stringing together abilities, creating stylish new combos? Does the idea of diving straight into the fray, firing a whirlwind of blades and bullets, then hopping back out with a sliver of health excite you?”

Adding these series of questions to the mix, we’re pretty sure this marksman’s name would be Samira. She may be indeed your untraditional marksman indeed, since most rangers strike from afar!

The studio also talked about two champions being in development – a “sensational mage and an ultra-heavy tank support,” but these two will be teased in the future.

If Samira does come out in patch 10.17, then more details should be revealed in the next few days in the PBE files. Samira should be in the champion roster before September.

However, before we get excited about a new AD carry, we should all check out Yone, the 150th champion in League of Legends that will come out with patch 10.16. Who wants to see the Yone – Yasuo combo live?
