League of Legends Patch 10.8 PBE: These Balance Changes Should Help Junglers Gain More XP and Sustain

The live patch on the League of Legends client has brought the reworked Fiddlesticks, and you’ve probably noticed it in the jungle nearly in every single game since it went live. As patch 10.7 rolled to the live servers, patch 10.8 headed towards the PBE client for testing.

Let’s see all the balance changes coming next week when patch 10.8 should go live on April 15. Note that the following stats and details are subject to change, considering we’re bound to see a few more tweaks this week.

League of Legends 10.8 PBE – Balance Changes

Before heading over to the full balance changes list for patch 10.8, here is some context from Mark Yetter (Riot Scruffy), the Lead Gameplay Designer for League of Legends:

“10.8 Patch Preview:

  • Rebalancing the ADC meta
  • Jungler personal power vs gank

Full changes coming tomorrow, feedback always welcome.”

He also mentioned what “Jungler personal power” means:

“For those asking – jungler personal power is the shift we’ve been testing on PBE

  • – Weaker early ganks (XP and homeguard)
  • + More XP and Sustain for junglers”

Balance Changes to Champions

Champion NERFS

Aphelios

  • stat level up changed to 2-12 Lethality – from 3-18% bonus armor penetration
  • Q abilities champ level scale up changed to level 1-13 (Level 13 is same power as old level 9) – from level 1-9

Kalista

Base Stats

  • base armor lowered to 21 – from 23

 

E – Rend

  • slow lowered to 10/18/26/34/42% – from 25/30/35/40/45%

Master Yi

[Update] – all changes to Yi’s base stats have been reverted

Base Stats

  • base health increased to 600 – from 598.56
  • base armor lowered to 30 – from 33

 

R – Highlander

  • attack speed lowered to 25/45/65% – from 30/55/80%

Senna

Passive – Absolution

  • soul spawn rate on minions Senna doesn’t kill lowered to 22% – from 25%

Sett

W – Haymaker

  • damage lowered to 80/105/130/155/180 – from 90/120/150/180/210

Varus

R – Chain of Corruption

  • cooldown increased to 130/100/70 – from 110/90/70

 

Champion BUFFS

Ashe

Q – Ranger’s Focus

  • bonus attack speed increased to 20/30/40/50/60% – from 20/25/30/35/40%

Evelynn

Q – Hate Spike

  • lasher and spike damage increased to 30/35/40/45/50 – from 25/30/35/40/45

Lux

[Update] – all changes to Lux have been reverted

Base Stats

  • attack speed per level increased to 1.5 – from 1

 

W – Prismatic Barrier

  • mana cost increased to 70 – from 60

 

E – Lucent Singularity

  • damage increased to 60/110/160/210/260 – from 60/105/150/195/240
  • AP ratio increased to 70% – from 60%

 

R – Final Spark

  • AP ratio lowered to 80% – from 100%

Orianna

W – Command: Dissonance

  • movement speed and slow increased to 30/35/40/45/50% – from 20/25/30/35/40%

 

E – Command: Protect

  • shield AP ratio increased to 50% – from 40%

Ryze

Base Stats

  • base health increased to 575 – from 570.48
  • base attack damage increased to 56 – from 55.04
  • base armor increased to 22 – from 21.552

 

Q – Overload

  • when consuming 2 runes, bonus movement speed increased to 28/32/36/40/44% – from 20/25/30/35/40%

Soraka

Base Stats

  • base mana increased to 425 – from 375

 

Q – Starcall

  • mana cost lowered to 45/50/55/60/65 – from 60/65/70/75/80

Tristana

E – Explosive Charge

  • bonus AD ratio changed to 50/75/100/125/150% – from 50/70/90/110/130%

Urgot

R – Fear Beyond Death

  • cooldown lowered to 100/85/70 – from 120/95/70

Xayah

E – Bladecaller

  • damage falloff per feather hit lowered to 5% – from 10%

 

Jungle Balance Changes

Personal Power

  • Jungle camp XP increased by 10% at lvl 9+
  • Early game Homeguard on death: 50% movement speed decaying over 5 seconds
  • Shared kill XP reduced by 20% (lvl 1-6), reduced by 10% (lvl 7-8)
  • Solo kill XP increased by 20% (lvl 1-6), increased by 10% (lvl 7-8)

Jungle Items

The following items: Hunter’s Talisman, Hunter’s Machete, Stalker’s Blade, and Skirmisher’s Sabre get a new effect:

  • [New effect]: “This item’s healing will be amplified by 50% when under 30% Health.” 

 

We’ve added Lux and a few more tweaks to Master Yi and Urgot. Although the changes don’t show up in the changelist (pictured below) from Riot Scruffy, they have appeared on PBE. We’ll know for sure what will come to patch 10.8 later this week as the balance work and testing is reaching the final stage.
