So how can I fix it?

There are many things that can happen when League of Legends does not open. It may be from the LoL app, or its servers, or because of your Mac.

First solution: Troubleshoot Internet

We know it sounds stupid. Make sure you have a stable internet connection in order to play the game. If you don’t, you’ll find it difficult to launch the game. So check that out first. Then, troubleshoot your Wi-Fi and, after, restart your Mac. After you restart it, open the game again, and see if it works.

Second solution: Run in RiotMacContainer

For this, you need to go to Finder on your Mac. Then find the game and right-click on it. Go to Show package contents and select it. Then, choose macOS. Then, you need to click on RiotMacContainer, then close the game. After you’ve done all of this, relaunch the game.

Third solution: Remove Lockfile

Go to Finder, and then to Applications. Go ahead and find League of Legends and right-click it. Then, select Show package contents. Then, you need to find the LoL folder and click on it. Then, see the “lockfile” file and delete it. Then, you need to relaunch the game.

It should work just fine now.
