League of Legends 10.9 Patch Preview: Quinn and Fiddle Buffs, Wukong Nerfs and More Balance Changes Heading to the Live Client on April 29

League of Legends is currently running on patch 10.8, but patch 10.9 is already under testing on PBE, where the final tweaks are made to champions. We saw the 10.9 Patch Preview from Mark Yetter (Riot Scruffy) on Twitter, which includes some great buffs for top Quinn players, and a buff to Sanguine Blade as well. Meanwhile, Wukong is getting nerfed once again, along with Trundle and a few others.

Let’s check out the tentative changes that are now on the 10.9 PBE Patch. Remember that some of the following stats you see below are subject to change until they head over to the live client.

Expect to see patch 10.9 go live on April 29 for both League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics players.

Balance Changes to Champions

According to the changelist from Mark Yetter on Twitter, expect to see the next NERFS and BUFFS to the following champions in patch 10.9.

NERFS

Bard

W – Caretaker’s Shrine

  • Cooldown increased to 14 seconds – from 12
  • Bonus movement speed lowered to 30% – from 50%

 

E – Magical Journey

  • Cooldown increased to 22/20.5/19/17.5/16 seconds – from 18/17/16/15/14

Karthus

Base Stats

  • Movement speed lowered to 325 – from 335

Nami

Base Stats

  • Base health lowered to 475 – from 489.32
  • Base mana lowered to 465 – from 477.24

 

Passive – Surging Tides

  • Base bonus movement speed lowered to 45 – from 60

Trundle

R – Subjugate

  • Cooldown increased to 120/100/80 seconds – from 100/80/60 seconds

Wukong

Base Stats

  • Base armor lowered to 31 – from 34

 

Q – Crushing Blow

  • Base damage lowered to 20/45/70/95/120 – from 30/55/80/105/130

 

W – Warrior Trickster

  • Clone damage lowered to 35/40/45/50/55% – from 40/45/50/55/60%

 

BUFFS

Cho’Gath

E – Vorpal Spikes

  • Damage increased to 22/37/52/67/82 – from 22/34/46/58/70

Fiddlesticks

E – Reap

  • Base damage increased to 70/105/140/175/210 – from 70/100/130/160/190

Gnar

Q – Boulder Toss

  • Cooldown refund increased to 70% – from 60%

 

E – Crunch

  • Base damage increased to 80/115/150/185/220 – from 50/85/120/155/190

Kayn

Q – Reaping Slash

  • Cooldown lowered to 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds – from 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 seconds
  • [New]: Bonus damage now applies to minions

 

W – Blade’s Reach

  • Slow increased to 90% – from 70%

Lissandra

Q – Ice Shard

  • Cooldown lowered to 8/7/6/5/4 seconds – from 10/8.5/7/5.5/4 seconds

Quinn

Q – Blinding Assault

  • Nearsight duration increased to 1.75 – seconds from 1.5

 

Balance Changes to Items

Sanguine Blade

  • Total cost lowered to 3000 gold – from 3100 gold
  • Combine cost lowered to 1000 gold – from 1100 gold
  • Attack Damage increased to 55 – from 50
