League of Legends 10.1 Patch Preview Revealed By Riot, Many Champion Buffs Coming Tomorrow

The first League of Legends patch of 2020 brings a new Ranked Season, a new champion – Sett the Boss (more about him here), many new features, skins, balance changes and then some more! Let’s look at the patch preview we got from Riot’s (Scruffy) Mark Yetter, the lead Gameplay Designer.

Riot has announced the schedule for the League of Legends Patch 10.1 preparation. This first patch of 2020 will head over to the live client early tonight, announced Riot on their website:

“On 01/08/20, starting at, 01:30 Pacific Time (09:30 UTC), ranked queues will be disabled in preparation for patch 10.01. At 03:00 Pacific time (11:00 UTC), the servers will be shut down and all games currently in progress will end in a draw and stats will not be recorded. We estimate the battlegrounds will be unavailable for 3 hours.”

Scruffy Reveals League of Legends 10.1 Patch Details

In a Twitter post, Riot Scruffy revealed all the goodies coming to League of Legends in Patch 10.1. Here’s a transcript of his photos.

Balance Changes to Champions

NERFS

Aphelios

Base Stats

  • Movement speed lowered to 325 – from 330
  • Base HP lowered to 500 – from 530

R – Infernum

  • Multihit AOE damage lowered to 75% – from 100%

Mordekaiser

Passive – Darkness Rise

  • Duration lowered to 4 – from 5
  • Movement speed changed to 3% – from 3-9%

Aurelion Sol

Passive – Center of the Universe

  • Damage lowered to 12-120 – from 16-120

Kassadin

Base Stats

  • Base movement speed lowered to 335 – from 340

 

BUFFS

Azir

R – Emperor’s Divide

  • Wall duration increased to 5 – from 3
  • Damage increased to 175/325/475 – from 150/250/450

Corki

R – Missile Barrage

  • Damage increased to 90/125/160 – from 90/115/140

Jayce

Cannon Q – Shock Blast

  • Damage increased to 55/110/165/220/275/330 – from 55/105/155/205/255/305

Kalista

Base Stats

  • HP/level increased to 100 – from 89
  • Armor/level increased to 4 – from 3.5

Nami

E – Tidecaller’s Blessing

  • [New] – ability empowers the next 3 basic attacks AND spells
  • [New] – tooltip update:

“Deal 33/35/37/39/41/43/45/47/49/50/52/54/56/58/60/62/64/66% damage to non-champions when empowering Area of Effect spells.”


Sejuani

Base Stats

  • HP/level increased to 100 – from 95

Passive – Fury of the North

  • Resistance changed to [10 (+50% Armor/MR)] – from [10 (+35% bonus armor/MR)]

E – Permafrost

  • Damage increased to 40/90/140/190/240 – from 40/80/120/160/200

Sylas

Base Stats

  • Base HP lowered to 525 – from 585
  • HP per level increased to 115 – from 95
  • Base armor lowered to 27 – from 32
  • Armor per level increased to 4 – from 3
  • MR lowered to 32 – from 39
  • MR per level increased to 1.75 – from 1.25

Passive – Petricite Burst

  • Max charges increased to 3 – from 2
  • AOE range lowered to 300 – from 400
  • Primary target damage AP ratio increased to 25% – from 20%
  • [New] – “While Sylas has a charge of Petricite Burst, he gains 60% attack speed”
  • Stacks up to 3 times
  • Any secondary target minion he leaves below 25 HP, he executes it.

Q – Chain Lash

  • Base damage changed to [40/55/70/85/100 (+40% AP)] – from [45/70/95/120/145 (+60% AP)]
  • Secondary damage changed to [60/105/150/195/240 (+80% AP)] – from [45/70/95/120/145 (+60% AP)]
  • Cooldown increased to 10/9/8/7/6 – from 9/8/7/6/5
  • Minions damage lowered to 40% – from 55%
  • Q2 no longer slows
  • Cannot be cast during E2

W – Kingslayer

  • Cooldown changed to 14/12.5/11/9.5/8 – from 14/13.5/13/12.5/12
  • Mana cost increased to 70/80/90/100/110 – from 45/45/50/55/60
  • Damage AP ratio increased to 85% AP – from 65% AP.
  • heals more based on Sylas’ health, u to 100% increase at 40% – from “heals for 75% more if Sylas is below 40% health”
  • [Removed] – Damage increased by 50% against enemy below 40% of max health
  • [Removed] – resets Sylas’ basic auto-attack

E – Abscond/Abduct

Abscond

  • Cooldown changed to 14/13/12/11/10 – from 14 at all ranks
  • [Removed] – resets Sylas’ basic attack timer
  • [Removed] – shields for 80/115/150/185/220 (+100% AP) against magic damage for 2 seconds upon dashing
  • Self CC after moving from E2 lowered to 0.05s – from 0.2s [Doesn’t happen if you miss]

Abduct

  • Base damage increased to 80/130/180/230/280 – from 30/55/80/105/130
  • AP ratio increased to 100% AP – from 20% AP

R – Hijack

  • “No longer resets Sylas’ Auto Attack”

Shyvana

Passive – Fury of the Dragonborn

  • [New]“Shyvana passive now gains a stack with Elder Dragon”
  • [New]“Cloud Dragon now increases fury gains on Shyvana by the same amount of Ult CDR it grants (because her ult has no actual cooldown)”

E – Flame Breath

  • On hit damage increased to 3.75% Max Health – from 3.25% Max Health

Varus

Q – Piercing Arrow

  • Cooldown lowered to 18/16/14/12/10 – from 20/18/16/14/12
  • Blight stack detonation cooldown reduction lowered to 3 seconds – from 4 seconds

Vi

R – Assault and Battery

  • [New] – “Vi will be unstoppable during the entire animation of her ultimate.” [vs. live, where she can be displaced during the uppercut animation]

Zyra

E – Grasping Roots

  • Vine Lasher slow potency lowered to 25% – from 30%
  • [New] – Slows from multiple Vine Lashers stack up to 2 times

Relic Shield / Steel Shouldergards – [New]: 25% Base Health Regeneration

Targon’s Buckler / Runesteel Spaulders – [New]: 50% Base Health Regeneration

Bulwark of the Mountain – [New]: 100% Base Health Regeneration / AP lowered to 25 – from 40

Pauldrons of Whiterock – [New]: 100% Base Health Regeneration / AD lowered to 15 – from 24

Spectral Sickle / Spellthief’s Edge – [New]: 25% Mana Regeneration

Omnistone – cooldown changed to 5-3 seconds (9-7 for ranged) – from 7-3 seconds (11-7 for ranged)

As for the new Wukong we were waiting to see in patch 10.1 (details here), it will come but not this patch, explained Mark Yetter, saying that he’s not ready to be released this patch yet.
