Latest Pokemon Sword And Shield Event Features All Gigantamax Creatures

The new Pokemon Sword and Shield event will take place between June 2 and June 29.

If you want to own a Gigantamax version of a specific pokemon, make sure that you take part in the new event!

The new event is the successor to the Gigantamax Meowth event, as Game Freak brings back all the Gigantamax versions of pokemon for nearly a full month.

You will be able to catch one or more Gigantamax pokemon if you haven’t already.

What Will Happen During The Event

The event will increase the rate you encounter Gigantamax variants of pokemon in Max Raid Battles.

You must first connect your Nintendo Switch console to the internet if you want to challenge such pokemon in a Max Raid Battle.

After doing that, search from shining pillars of light from Pokemon dens in the Wild area and interact with them to begin a fight.

Typically, the chance of encountering a Gigantamax Pokemon instead of a Dynamax Pokemon is tiny, but that is not the case anymore because of the ongoing event.

One thing to keep in mind is that some Pokemon will only be available in some edition of the game, which means that Sword and Shield will have different Gigantamax pokemon.
