iPhone 12 series: better battery life, faster Face ID?

Apple will reveal its next-gen lineup tomorrow, on October 13. The iPhone 12 series is finally ready for an official release. However, this doesn’t mean the leaks will stop surfacing on the internet. According to the latest reports, the upcoming smartphone range might come with a few improvements.

One of the possible improvements is more lasting battery life. @PineLeaks shared a post on Twitter saying the premium models, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, will feature this upgrade. According to the post, both versions will offer at least one hour more battery life than the previous models.

According to Apple, iPhone 11 Pro can last for 18 hours straight while watching a video. On the other hand, the iPhone 11 Pro Max can last up to 20 hours. Therefore, with the extra hour, the upcoming Pro and Pro Max models are better. However, we don’t have good news about the Mini version. Some reports say it will feature a low battery compared to the iPhone 11 model. This is due to its small size of just 5.4-inch.

On the other hand, the Face ID feature will be upgraded on the entire 12 lineup. According to @PineLeaks, this feature will work better and faster. The notch won’t be smaller on the upcoming Apple smartphones. Only the Mini model will feature a smaller notch; however, it will stick out more than the other models.

The camera software of the upcoming lineup is improved as well. The higher-end versions will feature both a digital and optical zoom update. iPhone 12 will be able to capture a low-light image better than its predecessor, as it is said to feature a 35% larger aperture. The ultra-wide camera will allow the user to take macro photos too. The video camera gets an update as well. It is said to feature a 4K video recording at 120fps or 240fps.
