iPhone 12 Renders Ignite Some Confusions Regarding The USB-C

Only a day has passed by since the renders regarding the upcoming iPhone 12 have appeared on the Internet. The first thing that one may think when sending the photos of the new design is that it cannot be anything else but an iPhone. The design is not changed too much; the only thing being slightly different is the boxy appearance.

Details on iPhone 12

The design bears a striking resemblance to the appearance of the iPad Pros. In addition to this, even the camera setup on the backside of the smartphone is quite similar to the one of an iPad Pro. The similarities do not stop here: the upcoming iPhone 12 series is going to be equipped with a LiDAR sensor for the AR applications.

With this model, the giant Cupertino has managed to diminish the space occupied by the phone’s sensors. This can easily be seen when looking at the noticeably smaller notch situated on the front side of the phone. We are still unaware whether the company has decided to ditch the FaceID system, or they implemented a touchID security on the unlock button.

USB-C Confusions

Looking at the USB port, we can easily observe that there have been no changes, meaning either that the company is not bringing fast-charging options yet or that the renders are not that accurate. However, fans were slightly disappointed by the fact that there is no USB-C port for iPhone 12 series.

A tweet posted by Jon Prosser claiming his disappointment about no type C for the series is making fans even more skeptical than before that this feature is going to change.

The iPhone 12 series is scheduled to be released this fall and no delays have been announced yet. Hopefully, everything will go as planned despite the ongoing pandemic that has caused the lockdown of many factories that produced the gadgets.
