The first render that incorporates all the known specs and features, and somehow looks like the official version of the Huawei P40 was posted on the web. There are still a few months away from the official release of the device.
Huawei P40 Key Specs
The Chinese technology giant is expected to release the Huawei P40 by the end of next year’s first quarter. As per the leaked renders and details, the smartphone will pack a 6.57-inch AMOLED display and either FHD+ or QHD resolution screen known as Advanced Horizon Display. The device is also said to have a dual-curved display.
Huawei P40’s screen will provide a few premium features, such as the HDR+ and DCI-P3 color space support. It is also rumored to feature a dual punch-hole, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, which will host the dual set of selfie lenses.
According to the render, the camera system on the Huawei P40 will be co-engineered by Leica, which is a bare minimum we grew to expect from a Huawei flagship device. The handset is most probably being powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC, and have at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space.
Contingent on the market, Huawei is expected to either launch a 4G or 5G version of the smartphone. These models are believed to come with different price tags, mustering a cost difference of about $150 to $200.
A previous report suggested that the Huawei P40 might be the first brand’s smartphone to pack a graphene battery of 5,500mAh, as well as quick charging support.
Expected Release Date
Taking into consideration Huawei’s launch cycle, the tech giant is most likely to release the Huawei P40 as well as the Huawei P40 Pro at the end of March 2020.
Because the company did not launch the Huawei Mate 30 or the Mate 30 Pro in India due to the Google Play Services issue, there is no way to tell whether the Huawei P40 series will be available in the Southern Asian country.
