Huawei is not giving up in its battle with the United States, and it’s continuing the plans to launch another premium smartphone. We are talking about the Huawei P40, which could appear the next spring, and if the leaks are real, the phone will be a premium edition. The new device will launch alongside P40, P40 Pro, and maybe even P40 Lite. Let’s see what is making the premium edition of the P40 so unique.
The Huawei P40 Premium Edition
The novelties are coming from the leaker Evan Blass, who is saying that Huawei plans a release for a premium edition for the P40. The leaker is revealing details about a ceramic rear similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, and a Penta-camera setup. The camera setup will have the following line – one periscope zoom lens, one regular wide-angle lens, one ultra-wide-angle lens, a ToF sensor, and, unfortunately, we know nothing about the fifth lens.
Moreover, regarding the design of the camera setup, Huawei is using the rectangular shape for it. Remaining on the same topic, the design of the P40, the pictures leaked are showing that Huawei is making significant changes. The square camera is similar to the ones used by Samsung, and no note of the Huawei design.
More Details on the Huawei P40 Premium Edition
The display is keeping the waterfall curves that we know from Huawei, with a slight difference at the corners. P40 will have power volume buttons, a USB-C port at the bottom, and a SIM card tray. No headphone jack, and on the hardware department, we will see the Kirin 990 processor, and 5G connectivity.
Drawing to a close, it is possible that at the end of February, the Huawei P40 be presented at the Mobile World Congress 2020. The problem that the company has with the U.S, it is possible to see the complementary OS with the HarmonyOS. In this way, the user can switch between Android and HarmonyOS, if everything is ready until next spring.
