Your Phone app has the ability to make phone calls, and it is rolling out to all users on Windows 10, now that they have done the extensive testing of the feature.
How to make calls from your PC with and an Android phone
Windows testers got the functionality back in October, but everyone can get them now. Users aren’t only able to text from their desktop PC, but they can also make phone calls with their Android phones.
The entire idea of the feature is for you to link the PC and the phone, thing that allows you to receive notifications from your smartphone directly on your desktop. This means that you can reply to texts with a PC keyboard, which is easier.
You can also take calls on your PC, and this is why you probably won’t use your phone as much sooner. The phone call feature even requires your permission on the PC.
But what can you actually do with this functionality?
You can make or answer calls on your PC, which is what we all expected. If you want to make phone calls, you should know that there is an in-app dialer, and you can call someone directly from the contacts list.
When you have an incoming call, if you don’t want to answer it, you don’t have to, you can either send a voicemail or decline the call with a predefined message. The app also allows users to transfer a call between PC and phone, and it also keeps a list of the recent calls.
We think that this addition is very helpful, and we can all see the effort that Microsoft has put into the Your Phone app. It can transform your PC’s touchscreen into a digital pad for your phone, plus there’s the transfer feature that rocks.
