Virtual Reality is most likely the future of gaming. Why see only on a flat-screen all the action like fighting, shooting, crawling, destroying, building, obliterating, talking, walking, running, whispering, yelling, flying, swimming, playing football, playing hockey, playing tennis, competing in cups, competing in challenges, fighting for prizes in international contests, competing with friends in multiplayer mode, and many others? Why not enjoy such things by seeing them all around you after you put a helmet on? Virtual Reality is taking gaming at a whole new exciting level, and game developers, along with console creators, seem to have understood this very well. Until the long-awaited PlayStation 5 which will be released next year, we can delight ourselves not only with PS4, but with the PlayStation VR.
The PlayStation VR console has been created by Sony, and it was launched a bit more than three years ago. It receives more and more attention, and perhaps the biggest rumor now is that the Horizon: Zero Dawn game will be available for Sony’s Virtual Reality console.
Callum Hurley made the announcement on Twitter
Callum Hurley is a veteran of the VR industry, so he might know what he’s talking about. He hinted that a Horizon game is being in the works at Sony’s SIE London studio. The full message:
“Was recently made aware of a very exciting new PlayStation VR game coming out of London Studio. Not sure whether it’ll be for PS4, PS5 or both, but it’s really exciting, and an announcement could be on the Horizon…”
Of course, the guy didn’t say precisely what Horizon game is in the works. Sony is already familiar with getting games from the Horizon series. But while Horizon: Zero Dawn released in February 2017 is the latest Horizon game, it’s safe to assume that we may see it on PlayStation 5’s VR capabilities. Therefore, why not also on PlayStation VR?
Horizon: Zero Dawn is a role-playing action game that has been developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released initially for the PlayStation 4 console. The plot follows Aloy, a hunter in a world dominated by robots. The player has to use ranged weapons, a spear, and stealth to fight the mechanical creatures and other types of enemies.
