The next installment of the Half-Life series received a VR-exclusive arrival. Half-Life: Alyx will be launching March 23 for all PC VR-compatible. It has been speculated that Valve Index’s owners will get a free copy of Half-Life: Alyx. The upcoming game resurfaced as a new installment in the series back in November 2019. It will also arrive as an intriguing prequel of Half-Life 2, meaning we will get more of Alyx Vance than previously. The game will display the period before Gordon Freeman’s introduction in the plot.
Playing as Alyx Vance in the New Half-Life Series
So, playing as Alyx Vance in the upcoming series will mean that you’re again the humanity’s only hope for survival. The game’s description unveils how much the Combine’s control has intensified since the Black Mesa event. Dr. Eli Vance, your father, will be your only ally and support.
The previous version, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, was released back in October 2007. Fans waited way too long for their beloved character to kick once again in the Half-Life scene and to bring some action. Valve developers have shown some excitement about following the series from there. As for Gordon Freeman’s next story, we’ll have to wait a little bit more. There aren’t any hints or speculations yet about that. Valve will most likely wait for Half-Life: Alyx’s reviews first.
