GTA 6 is one of the most talked-about hypes, in spite of the fact that the developer’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are still on top of the game. However, as we slowly approach the launch of the next-generation consoles, players are looking to the future to see what kind of gaming experience Rockstar Games wants to offer on the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X.
There are not that many reliable rumors or any official information to take it on yet, but there are a few safe guesses we can make regarding GTA 6. While we can definitely expect a new setting and characters, the main shooting elements of the gameplay, driving, and thieving will most likely remain the same as in the predecessor titles, as well as a massive amount of side activities. In addition, a new version of GTA Online might also launch since the current one has been a huge success.
GTA 6 – Release Date
We can safely say that GTA 6 is in development. The only question then is when exactly Rockstar Games plans to launch the next game in the popular series. According to the latest speculation, the title could be released in 2023, based on the publisher 2K’s large expected marketing budget for the year ending on 31 March 2024, with more information detailed in a recent financial statement.
However, the developer has denied this rumor, telling Gamesindustry.biz that the marketing information is related to third-party commitments.
GTA 6 Platforms – PS4, PS5, and More
When it comes to the consoles you’ll be able to play GTA 6 on, the 2030 launch means the gaming industry will be deep into the PS5 and Xbox Series X devices, but it is also possible that Rockstar will launch a version for the PS4 and Xbox One. In addition, a PC version could also be available as the developer ported both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC after it released it for consoles.
GTA 6 – Characters and Story
The GTA franchise doesn’t have a particular set of characters or a certain location throughout its games, so it is only logical that the protagonists in all the titles in the franchise would be replaced by new ones.
The same thing goes for the location and settings of the game. Still, since Los Santos was featured in older games in the series, it could mean that Liberty City, Vice City, San Fierro, or Las Venturas could be included in GTA 6, or perhaps a new city inspired by the real world.
GTA 6 Online
GTA 5 has had a long life since it released back in 2013 due to the regular updates. The game allows you to play a wide variety of modes or to just roam around the map with other players, earning money you can then spend on cars, outfits, weapons, and housing.
It is, therefore, very probable that we’ll also see a new online version alongside GTA 6. It would also be nice if current GTA Online players would be able to transfer their in-game earning and items into the new title.
