Google Play Store: Top Downloads For 2019

Google revealed the most downloaded apps, movies, TV shows, and books for 2019 on the company’s Play Store.

The tech giant also made sure to reveal the users’ and editors’ favorite choices. Engadget noted that we don’t have too many surprises this year, and Call of Duty and Marvel are hogging the charts.

It’s been revealed that Google Play users voted for their favorite downloads in all the categories.

Top Google Play Store downloads for 2019

Let’s get started. Call of Duty: Mobile has been ranked as the number 1 game, and GlitchCam (which brings ’90s style effects to users’ videos) has been voted as the top application.

Avengers: Endgame is voters’ favorite movie, and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark got chosen as the favorite book.

The best app of the year award goes to Albo, according to the Play Store’s editors’ choice. Just in case you don’t know what this is, the app helps you explore foreign cultures and connect with people despite all kinds of language barriers.

This application can autogenerate subtitles while you are video-chatting with people from all over the world. Pretty neat.

Anyway, there are a lot more winners, and we recommend that you check them all out on Google’s blog.

A recent update for Google Play Store

Google Play Store is such an essential component in the Android operating system, then no one should be surprised to find out that Google is updating it on a regular basis with improvements.

About two weeks ago, the Android parent rolled out a brand-new update – the 17.6.19 version number. The update was rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels.

The update improved the overall performances of the app library. It did this by introducing a bunch of software improvements that took care of various issues that sometimes caused the Google Play Store to lag.
