It’s been just reported that Garena revealed esports plans for the Brazilian Free Fire scene for this year.
After an amazing 2019, Garena revealed its 2020 esports plans for the Free Fire in Brazil. According to the latest data coming from Dot Esports, Liga Brasileira de Free Fire (LBFF) aka the Brazilian Free Fire League will be replacing the Free Fire Pro League (FFPL) this year.
The online publication mentioned above also reveals that the LBFF will be divided into three divisions – A, B, and C – and it will take place in three seasons around the year. This will make sure that there will be a year-long esports events all over the country.
A few stages of the LBFF will be reportedly played at Studio One inside the Estúdio Quanta complex in São Paulo, which has been called the new Free Fire home in Brazil, according to the same online pubcalition mentioned above.
This will start on February 1st, and it will not be having Serie B because this will be introduced in the second stage based on the results of the previous season. It’s also worth noting that Serie A is the highest level in the league and the lowest division will be Serie C.
This will have a different format.
“At the end of this season, the bottom two teams from Serie A will move down to Serie B. The top 12 teams from Serie A, on the other hand, will move on the finals which will be held as a separate event,” according to the online publication mentioned above.
It’s been also revealed that the Season Two format will probably continue in Season Three.
