Galaxy S30 is Samsung’s next-gen smartphone series. Despite the series launch approaching, leaks about the Galaxy S30 Ultra are already circulating the internet. However, the upcoming generation might not be as innovative as expected.
According to Ishan Agarwal, a tipster, the upcoming Galaxy Ultra version will likely feature similar Galaxy S20 Ultra specs. 91Mobiles also backs up Agarwal’s information. The latest leaks suggest specs we have already seen in the past, such as a 5,000mAh battery, a 108MP primary rear snapper, and a 40MP front-facing sensor. According to earlier reports, the upcoming Galaxy S30 Ultra will feature the same center punch-hole selfie design as its predecessor.
The next-gen Galaxy Ultra will measure 165.1mm x 75.6mm x 8.9mm, coupled with a 1.9mm-deep camera hump. Compared to its predecessor, that’s not much smaller.
Galaxy S30 Ultra vs. Galaxy S20 Ultra
We expect to see a new camera array on the Galaxy S30 Ultra in terms of the design. According to the latest leaks, the next-gen smartphone from Samsung will feature a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display, which is not that much smaller compared to the S20 Ultra.
A Snapdragon 875 processor will power the upcoming premium version; however, it will more than likely apply only to the United States. Europe, as well as other regions, could get the rumored Exynos 2100 chipset. We are used to Samsung picking the latest Qualcomm processors for its flagships; therefore, the Exynos 2100 rumor seems legit. However, the chipset was not officially announced yet, which means we have to wait for that first.
The latest reports read that the Galaxy S30 series will run on the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 OS. Samsung is always choosing the latest Android OS for its flagships; therefore, the news doesn’t come as a surprise. The reports failed to shine some light on the RAM or storage options. We also don’t know much about the other camera sensors. However, it is also quite soon to know more.
Not to say, Samsung could change some features of the upcoming Ultra model now that it leaked online. Will Galaxy S30 Ultra be that similar to its predecessor? Perhaps it’s too soon to come out with such a disappointing conclusion.
