Final Fantasy XIV‘s April 5.3 patch has been delayed indefinitely by the developer, Square Enix, because of some difficulties the team working on the update encountered with the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
The gaming studio pledged to implement major changes and important additions to the game, such as the ability to fly once you complete ‘The Ultima Weapon’ mission. It also promised to include the last act for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers‘ main gameplay, and more other features.
The Moogle Treasure Trove Event
Because there is no official timeline as to when the development team will be able to again work at full capacity and carry on with the patch 5.3, also known as Reflections in Crystal, Square Enix decided to roll out a Moogle Treasure Trove event that is available until the patch’s release.
The Moogle Treasure Trove event comes with brand new items for players to earn, together with some fan-requested items that were accessible earlier in the game but were eventually removed. The event brings numerous challenges for players to defeat, all labeled with a Moogle icon in the quest menu, giving players the possibility to earn irregular tomestones.
The mysterious relics in the Allagan Empire you can collect are exchangeable at the itinerant Moogle shops for special items, such as Mameshiba Neckerchief, Ixion Clarion, Demonic Lanner Whistle, and many more.

The challenges in the event offer a good amount of irregular tomestones based on their difficulty level and the tasks you need to perform in order to earn it. The new Moogle Treasure Trove event rolled out on Monday, May 18th, and will be available until patch 5.3 will arrive as there is no end date for it yet.
The patch was initially scheduled to be released in mid-June, so that is at the least how long the event will be accessible.
