SQUARE Enix is working hard to release the first part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake in April.
As you might recall, the initial release date was set for March 2020.
According to the developer of the game, the release date was delayed by a month to add another layer of polish to the overall product.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase said:
“We are making this tough decision to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience.”
Kitase apologized for the delay on behalf of the whole team, as he’s aware that waiting extra for the release of a game is unpleasant. He then thanked fans for their patience and continued support.
The good news
Thankfully, Square Enix brings some good news for fans of the series.
First of all, Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda revealed that the release of the second part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake won’t be delayed.
Also, Square Enix revealed that some new Sephiroth wallpapers had been released online recently via a tweet:
“The legendary SOLDIER Sephiroth was thought to have died during a top-secret mission for Shinra, but the details are unknown.”
Fans should keep in mind that they can grab free wallpapers for other famous characters, including Barret, Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa.
