The version of FIFA 20 that comes from Nintendo Switch is getting a lot of reviews on Metacritic right now. Users practically bomb it with reviews.
Users do it to protest against some decisions taken by developers. They do it by reducing the score awarded by players as much and as fast as possible. They don’t do it only on Metacritic, but also on Steam.
If you remember, this also happened with the Metro saga, when users protested Metro Exodus being exclusive for the Epic Games Store. They also did it with Astral Chain and Fire Emblem: Three Houses when it became exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
When it comes to FIFA 20, users protest because there are no new inventions or updates – it’s pretty much FIFA 19, but with a 20 instead of a 19.
EA has come up with a new version of the game, which updates the signings of the teams, and their equipment, and the music from the menu, the menu itself. There are also other minor changes. They did not include the Volta mode or other new features that are available right now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
We have seen an incredible lower score for FIFA 20 – 1.2 out of 10 on Metacritic. There are 301 reviews so far. Out of all of them, 120 are negative, five are positive, and two are mixed.
There are also many comments. They say that EA is lazy, or quite abusive to the players. Some of them even ask the Pro Evolution Soccer saga to come to the console – but they have no plans with regards to this matter.
One of the comments reads: “You can call this game fifa 16 oh sorry its fifa 17 oh sorry its fifa 18 oh sorry its fifa 19”
